The Camper’s take
Small riverside parking serving as trailhead for hikes. Access via 2 km of rocky, narrow mountain track with steep sections—challenging but passable in a van with ground clearance. Few level pitches at top with stunning mountain views. Busy with day-hikers, peaceful at night. Close to stream (noise, humidity, cold nights). No facilities.
Highlights
- Spectacular mountain views at sunrise
- Quiet at night, though somewhat isolated
- Perfect starting point for hikes
- Close to a river (swimming possible)
Good to know
- Very rocky and rugged access, terrain conditions vary
- Daytime crowding with hikers
- Dampness and nighttime cold due to the river
- Degraded track, avoid in bad weather
Motorhome access : 2 km of narrow, steep, rocky track with variable conditions. Requires caution and good ground clearance. Avoid in the rain. Suitable for small/medium vans with experience; several reviews recommend a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle.
