The Camper’s take
Isolated mountain plateau with stunning 360° Pyrenees views. Access via track from Port de Balès; flat terrain with small pond. No services. Pristine, very quiet location despite cattle herds with bells. Cautions: road closed Nov–Apr, private land (risk of fines), cattle may damage paintwork.

Good to know
- Livestock: curious cows that may scratch or bump into vehicles
- Road closed from November to April
- Private terrain: risk of a €1,500 fine and regular shepherd patrols.
- Difficult access for some approaches due to narrow, winding roads.
Motorhome access : Drivable track with potholes from Port de Balès. Hilly terrain but flat areas available. Long, narrow, winding approach road (problematic for meeting other vehicles). Avoid for very large vehicles.
