The Camper’s take
Small wild parking beside the Charente River near fishing cabins (carrelets). Accessible to vehicles up to 5.5 tonnes. Preserved natural setting, very quiet outside peak season, ideal for hikers and nature lovers. Grass or gravel terrain, muddy after heavy rain. Access via narrow path requiring care. Open views over estuary and local wildlife (birds, otters). Few facilities, inadequate bins.
