Free bitumen parking on a steep slope, 100 m from Chinon fortress. Easy town access via free elevator and walking paths. Aldi and bakery nearby. Public toilets available (though frequently closed). Excellent for visiting the medieval fortress, less comfortable overnight: busy road in early evening, steep gradient requiring wedges, narrow angled spaces. Quiet between 23:00-04:00.
