Small family-run municipal campsite on the Allier riverbank, ideal for an overnight stop. Shaded pitches, friendly welcome, clean facilities. Picturesque village of Chilhac with basalt formations nearby. River swimming available. Major drawback: no grey or black water disposal. Very affordable rates (€12-25). Seasonal opening and occasional closures may require advance confirmation.
