The Camper’s take
Tiny natural parking at the end of a gravel track overlooking the sea and oyster farms. Space for 2-3 campervans maximum. Exceptional secluded setting ideal for rest, coastal walks and wildlife watching. Narrow access with tricky turning. No services. Algae and mudflat smells vary with tides and seasons.
Highlights
- Exceptional panoramic view over the sea and the oyster farms
- Absolute tranquility, very little nighttime traffic
- Perfect starting point for coastal hikes (Omaha Beach, cliffs)
- Wild nature with coastal wildlife (birds, seals, etc.)
Good to know
- Very narrow and gravelly access: difficult maneuvering, impossible to reverse if full
- Extremely limited capacity (max 2-3 vans), leading to disappointment on arrival
- Unpleasant odors from decomposing algae and mud depending on tides
- No services, notably no bins: waste management is an issue
Motorhome access : Gravel track is narrow with no through passage; uneven surface. Very limited manoeuvring space at the end of the track (tight U-turn). For small motorhomes and campervans under 3.5 t only. Large vehicles should avoid. Check on foot that space is available before entering.
