The Camper’s take
Small free municipal parking area in the heart of Vauquois village, steps away from the historic Butte site. Flat terrain with picnic tables and small pond. No facilities (water, electricity, waste disposal) but bins and pets welcome. Excellent base for exploring WWI heritage sites. Very peaceful, except for church bells in the morning.

- Free access, no amenities but honest and straightforward
- Perfect for hiking and WWI history
- Flat and well-maintained terrain with tables
Good to know
- No services (water, electricity, dumping)
- Church bells noisy at dawn (7:30 AM)
- Easy to confuse with the Butte parking lot (steep, time restrictions)
Motorhome access : Flat, well-sized terrain for small and medium motorhomes. Easy access. Don’t confuse with nearby Butte parking, which is very steep.
