Description
Spot magnifique, nous y sommes arrivés par hasard, parfait pour une baignade rafraîchissante, calme, de quoi pique-niquer et passer la nuit, très propre.
The Camper’s take
Peaceful riverside spot in the Verdouble gorges with clear water and swimming access. Flat, shaded terrain accommodating 3-5 vans. Unpaved access road (GPS directions critical). Private land generously opened to visitors. Stunning 25-30 minute walking trail to the gorges. Very popular in peak season with overflow risk. Recent storm damage reported in 2026.
Highlights
- Beautiful natural setting with a clear river and easy swimming access
- Very quiet in low season, shaded and relaxing
- Close to Verdouble Gorge (25-30 min walk)
- Friendly and respectful owner
Good to know
- Very busy in peak season, risk of overcrowding
- Bumpy access, poorly maintained road, unreliable GPS
- Flooding problems when it rains
- Major degradations after February 2026 storms, fallen trees
Motorhome access : Access via a poorly maintained, chaotic track; not recommended via Peyrepertuse (use the Padern access instead). Flat terrain. Simple maneuvering for up to 3-5 vans. Watch out for dimensions and ground condition.
