Description
The Camper’s take
Quiet natural spot by a small stream with shade and flat ground. Access via narrow paved road past a quarry with light traffic. Ideal for a peaceful overnight before Saint-Jean-du-Gard. Caution: tricky access for long motorhomes (tight maneuvering), damp terrain after rain, polluted stream (legacy mining contamination with arsenic and lead). No services.
Highlights
- Very quiet, little through traffic
- Flat shaded natural setting
- Road access asphalted
Good to know
- Difficult access for long motorhomes (tight turns, gravel)
- Polluted stream (arsenic, lead, former mining site)
- Ground gets damp after rain, dried-up stream in summer
Motorhome access : Difficult for motorhomes over 5-6m: speed bumps in the quarry, very tight U-turn by the stream, eroded edge. Better suited for compact vans. Requires reversing.
