Description
Terrain plat. Camping car à éviter.
The Camper’s take
Peaceful natural spot at forest edge overlooking wheat field with distant sea views. Flat terrain, suitable for tent or roof-top tent camping. No facilities. Very quiet atmosphere, ideal for rest and nature immersion. Challenging access for campervans in wet conditions: significant mud risk on slope, often requires recovery assistance.
Highlights
- Utterly peaceful with very few people passing by
- Peaceful and unspoiled natural setting with visible wildlife (deer, foxes)
- Flat terrain, well sheltered under trees.
- Close to hiking trails (GR34, chestnut forest)
Good to know
- Very difficult access/impossible after rain: recurring risk of getting stuck in the mud
- Site gradually degrading: toilet paper, disrespectful campfires
- Security issues reported (voyeuristic incident)
- No services or bins; some areas have hostile owners
Motorhome access : Very tricky. Flat at the top, but the slope/road becomes muddy when wet. Heavy motorhomes and vehicles without 4x4 or off-road capability should be avoided after rain—serious risk of getting stuck and needing recovery. Only suitable for small vans or 4x4s in dry conditions.
