The Camper’s take
Small forest spot on the edge of Lake Mimizan, accessible only via the 3rd entrance road from town (the other two are prohibited). Several shaded pitches under pine trees. Sandy and rutted terrain: access difficult or impossible for low-clearance vehicles without 4×4. No services. Abundant mosquitoes. Morning joggers and cyclists pass through. Warning: overnight camping is officially forbidden; frequent fines issued by forest rangers at night.
