Parking de l'observatoire de Salève. Quelques places sur l'herbe en bordure de route. Beaux points de vues et sentiers de balade à proximité. Sans service. ATTENTION la montée sur la D45 à partir de Vovray est totalement déconseillée, limitée à 3,5T, étroite et des épingles furieusement en pente.
The Camper’s take
High-altitude observatory parking at 1,240 m with breathtaking views over Geneva, Lake Léman, and the Alps. Spacious grass parking areas with nearby hiking trails and on-site restaurant. Access via narrow, winding D45 road strongly discouraged for heavy vehicles. Busy during daytime with tourists and motorcycles, quiet after 10 PM. Limited services: trash bins only.

Good to know
- Very steep, narrow D45 climb with dangerous hairpins, not recommended
- Noisy during the day and evening (restaurant, motorcycles, cars, groups)
- Litter and waste left by some visitors
Motorhome access : Access possible but demanding: very narrow, steep D45 road with sharp bends. Not recommended for heavy or long vehicles. Better via Collonges (slightly less challenging). Spacious grassy parking with easy maneuvers. Possible even with an 8.5 m camping car but tricky.
