Free parking at the foot of the fortified St George's church in Châtenois, nestled in Alsatian vineyards. Spacious, quiet location with uneven terrain, suitable for an overnight stay. Starting point for hiking trails with views over ramparts. Dog-friendly. Church bells ring from 6 a.m. (minimally disruptive). Toilets 10 minutes' walk downhill in the village. Bakeries nearby.
