Free small parking on the Rhône canal banks near Sète, close to Saint-Gilles lock. Flat, spacious ground, very quiet with views over rice fields and local wildlife. Access via white path alongside the canal. No services. Light activity from fishermen in the morning. Beware: abundant mosquitoes, recurring litter, exposure to mistral wind.

Motorhome access : Gravel path accessible for motorhomes and vans, easy access despite dirt terrain. Avoid the parallel dirt road—heavily damaged. Do not park in front of the barrier (trucks pass through). Easy maneuvering on flat ground.
