The Camper’s take
Small natural camping spot near the Gardon river, on an old shaded concrete pad. Daytime traffic (agricultural activities, shooting, hunting), calm at night. Access via rough dirt track, flood risk in rainy periods. No facilities. Highly appreciated for its isolation and night-time tranquility despite access difficulties.
Highlights
- Very quiet at night, deep in nature
- Flat and shaded terrain, parking on concrete slab
- Access possible even for large motorhomes
- Clean and spacious spot
Good to know
- Access via a very bumpy and uncomfortable dirt track
- Flood risk near the Gardon during Cevennes storms
- Hunters and gunfire noises in the morning
- Daytime vehicles and agricultural activity
Motorhome access : Access via a dirt track with deep potholes, tricky in bad weather. Departure/arrival via the village recommended. Maneuvering possible for large motorhomes on flat concrete slabs.
