The Camper’s take
Paid riverside parking on the Allier in peak season (June-September, 6pm-9am), with no facilities. Charming village with nearby shops on both sides of the bridge. Flat, grassy, shaded and peaceful location. Frequent confusion with adjacent municipal campground (similar prices but different amenities). Access reception sometimes unwelcoming. Sharp contrast between free off-season parking and summer rates deemed high for lack of services.

Motorhome access : Flat grassy terrain, accessed via a bank. Easy maneuvers. Watch for slippery conditions in bad weather (risk of skidding). Parking along the road is possible (less crowded).
