The Camper’s take
Vast alpine meadow at the foot of Gavarnie ski station around 2000 m elevation. Easy road access with unrestricted parking on flat or sloping pastureland. No services. Bucolic setting surrounded by grazing cattle, sheep, and abundant marmots. Highly popular in summer and September. Mobile signal very weak (Orange only). Multiple parking zones at varying altitudes available.
