The Camper’s take
Large forest parking in Alsace, ideal hiking base. Two areas: asphalt section (sloped, busy daytime) and gravel section (partly level, preferred). Picnic tables and bins provided. Access to Schauenberg Chapel with panoramic views. Very quiet at night. 4G network confirmed. Slightly sloped terrain, leveling blocks recommended. Narrow access road but passable.

Motorhome access : Narrow access. Steep asphalt parking; prefer the gravel area (flatter but smaller). Uneven terrain; wheel chocks highly recommended. Possible to maneuver but small to medium vehicles are better suited for the rear area.
