The Camper’s take
Col du Joly at 2000 m elevation, accessible by paved road from Hauteluce (recommended) or challenging track from Contamines-Montjoie. Large parking with spectacular 360° views over Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain and Val-Montjoie. Dry toilets available. Restaurant and local shops on-site. Excellent starting point for hiking. Peaceful at night, busy during the day.

Motorhome access : Paved road from Hauteluce: very easy for all motorhomes. Track from Contamines-Montjoie: very difficult, narrow and stony, only suitable for light vehicles with experience or 4x4. Spacious parking at the top of the pass.
