The Camper’s take
Small natural parking by Crosagny ponds near Albens, at the trailhead for hikes. Flat ground, capacity for a handful of autonomous vehicles. Main strength: pastoral setting (cows, birds, pond nearby). Major drawback: railway line very close with frequent daytime train passages (every 0.5–1 hour), causing noise and warning signals. Usually quiet at night between 22h–7h. Shade reduced after tree cutting. Not recommended for large motorhomes.
Highlights
- Pastoral natural setting (pond, cows, wildlife)
- Starting point for hikes and mountain biking trips
- Quiet nights between 10 PM and 7 AM
Good to know
- Very close railway line with regular and noisy daytime trains (about hourly)
- Loss of shade: trees recently cut down
- Small space, muddy terrain, unsuitable for large motorhomes
Motorhome access : Access difficult for large campervans. Small flat parking area but narrow, with wet/muddy ground. Level crossing nearby. Limited maneuvering space.
