The Camper’s take
Free former municipal campsite converted into a bivouac area. Large grassy and graveled terrain with toilets and water point. Lake Gayme 300 m away with nearby peatbog. Very quiet location appreciated for unspoiled nature. Municipal ordinance restricts overnight parking outside camping and paid area (6 pm–8 am). Municipality supportive of camper vans. Many hiking trails nearby.
Highlights
- Free and spacious with grassy or gravel pitches
- Very peaceful, unspoiled nature, ideal for relaxation and hiking
- Toilets and water properly maintained by the town
- Lake, peat bog, and nature walks right on the doorstep
Good to know
- Municipal regulation banning overnight parking outside official sites (6 PM to 8 AM)
- White gravel gets hot during heatwaves
- Main parking on tarmac, not very pleasant (based on CC Park area reviews)
Motorhome access : Wide and easy access, flat terrain. Comfortable grassy pitches, well-suited. Some gravel areas less pleasant. Enough maneuvering space for about 20 motorhomes.
