The Camper’s take
Mountain parking area in the Chaîne de l'Étoile (Mimet, Bouches-du-Rhône) with free water point and picnic tables. Steep uphill access, tricky for larger vehicles. Very busy during daytime with hikers and locals, peaceful at night. Excellent starting point for hiking and mountain biking. Warning: municipal ordinance prohibits extended parking and camping; police regularly patrol the area.
