The Camper’s take
Quiet forest parking area near Puy-en-Velay, perfect for an overnight stop. Shaded picnic tables, 860 m altitude. Access uphill but manageable (trucks 2.5 m tested). Saint-Julien village 3 km away with services. Walking trails nearby. Low traffic, generally clean.

- Steep and tricky access on first visit
- Cleanliness inconsistent (cigarette butts and waste around tables)
- Surrounding forest not always well maintained
Motorhome access : Steep uphill access (~10 m), tricky maneuvering on first visit but passable. Tested successfully with campervans up to 2.5 m high. Flat ground once inside.
