The Camper’s take
Former lock site by the canal in unspoilt nature. Access via narrow track with overhanging vegetation; prefer the port path route. Flat terrain ideal for overnight camping. Very tranquil setting with notable wildlife (swans, coypu, dragonflies). Beware of mosquitoes and dampness. Occasional hikers and ramblers may pass during the day.

Motorhome access : Narrow, slightly bumpy dirt track with overgrown vegetation brushing against the sides. Driveable but requires caution and slow speeds. Better to use the port road for larger vehicles.
