Parking Mont Gargan (731 m), nombreuses places, pas de service, mais plusieurs tables de pique-nique ombragées à proximité du parking. Par une grande allée piétonne bordée de hêtres (2 minutes de pente moyenne), vous atteignez le sommet où se trouvent une chapelle en ruine, un mémorial 39-45, deux tables d'orientation, et surtout, entre autres points de vue, un panorama exceptionnel à 180 degrés à l'ouest (plateau Limousin et monts de Fayat) et un à l'est (plateau de Millevaches et Massif des Monédières). Magique pour contempler un coucher de soleil ou un ciel étoilé. Plusieurs sentiers de randonnée autour. Site naturel protégé, donc pas de feu, camping, ou véhicule au-delà du parking. Rares promeneurs en fin de journée.

Small stabilized parking lot (731 m) at the foot of Mont Gargan, pedestrian access via beech tree avenue leading to ruined chapel and exceptional 180° panoramas. Protected natural site: no services, camping prohibited. Perfect for hiking and stargazing. Very peaceful in late afternoon, limited parking spaces (overhanging branches).
