The Camper’s take
Secluded riverside spot on the Seine between Tancarville and Normandy bridges, near a lighthouse. Access via 500 m heavily potholed gravel track. Small parking for 3-4 vehicles max, calm nights with regular boat traffic. No services. Recurring cleanliness issues at site edges. Hunting zone September-March.
Highlights
- Stunning view over the Seine River and the two bridges
- Very quiet, secluded, ideal for peace and quiet
- Show of large ships and cargo vessels (day and night)
Good to know
- Access is very rough with deep potholes; 4x4 recommended for large motorhomes.
- Poor cleanliness: litter, toilet paper, and waste near the area
- Nearby hunting zone (September to March) with documented snake presence
Motorhome access : Very rough gravel track with deep potholes over 500 m. Passable for vans but uncomfortable and slow (4-5 km/h recommended). Motorhomes over 6 m may struggle. Flat natural terrain for parking, no tricky maneuvers. Can get muddy after rain.
