The Camper’s take
Large high-altitude parking (1500m) facing the Glières monument, ideal starting point for summer hiking and winter cross-country skiing. Very quiet at night despite daytime traffic. Hundreds of parking spaces. Winding mountain access road with hairpin turns; two access routes, one gravel-based suitable only for smaller vehicles. No on-site services but toilets available at the monument. Panoramic views of mountains and plateau. Full self-sufficiency required.

Motorhome access : Difficult access: winding road with hairpin bends, narrow. Two access routes: one suitable for camping cars, the other stony and narrow for small vehicles. Parking slightly sloped, best parked at an angle to minimize space.
