Description
The Camper’s take
Grassy field at the edge of medieval Monpazier, immediately adjacent to the village. Pronounced slope but flatter areas near the ramparts. Open valley views. No services (public toilets 200 m away). Tricky motorhome access reported by some visitors (one-way street, narrow detour). Very quiet spot, perfect for visiting this characterful village known for crafts and local shops.
Highlights
- Stunning valley and surrounding countryside views
- Close to a medieval village with crafts and shops
- Very quiet, little nighttime traffic
Good to know
- Significantly steep terrain, hard to find flat spots.
- Tricky motorhome access: one-way street and detour via narrow road
- No services on site; toilets 200m away
Motorhome access : Difficult access. Main entrance is a no-entry zone, forcing a detour via a very narrow, poorly passable road for large motorhomes. Steep slope, risk of getting stuck in wet conditions. Rue de la Croix Blanche may be a better option, according to locals.
