Lieu exceptionnel sur l'estuaire de la Gironde, près du port de Talais (avec un panorama exceptionnel sur l'estuaire grâce à sa tranquillité). Il s'agit d'une aire de pique-nique située au bout de la piste cyclable du port de Talais. On peut y accéder depuis Talais en cherchant la ferme ostréicole… qui vaut à elle seule le détour : 12 huîtres ultra-fraîches pour 9 euros ! Il y a de la place pour 3 ou 4 camping-cars. Le dernier kilomètre est un chemin de terre, mais très accessible avec n'importe quel van ou camping-car ! Plusieurs points de vue jalonnent le parcours et les pêcheurs sont accueillants.
The Camper’s take
Exceptional picnic area at the end of the Talais port cycle path, overlooking the Gironde estuary. Capacity 3-4 motorhomes. Access via accessible but narrow dirt track. Facilities: tables, barbecue, bins, seasonal tap, toilet. Nearby renowned oyster farm. Very quiet, nature-focused spot with remarkable sunsets. Note: significant mosquitoes in some periods, and camping-caravanning officially prohibited.
