High-altitude parking at Col du Chat (Savoie, 1,200 m), offering stunning views over Lake Bourget and Mont-Blanc. Excellent starting point for hiking and trails. Restaurant-bar on-site. Calm nights guaranteed outside daylight hours (hikers arrive mornings). Access road is narrow and winding over 12 km. Relatively flat terrain with shaded areas.

Motorhome access : Narrow and very winding access over 12 km uphill. Road barely passable in places, difficult crossings. Flat and spacious parking at the top. Avoid with large campervans or if inexperienced in mountain driving.
