Description
The Camper’s take
Central parking area, 5 minutes' walk from Malo-les-Bains beach and the Dunkirk 1940 museum. €8/24h (free Nov-Mar). Very sloped terrain requiring chocks. No fresh water (broken dispenser), no toilets or showers. Grey and black water disposal confirmed. Road traffic audible but nights generally quiet. Adequate security with CCTV. Ideal for quick visits or brief stopovers.
Highlights
- Right by the lake, the beach, and the town center
- Very budget-friendly rate (8€/24h, free in low season)
- Security with cameras and regular patrols
- Quiet at night despite nearby roads
Good to know
- Extremely steep terrain, wheel chocks essential.
- Fresh water tap faulty for a long time
- No toilets or showers on site
- Daytime road noise and car congestion
Motorhome access : Easy access but the ground is very steep (30-40% incline). Maneuvering is doable but chocks are essential. Large vehicles (over 8 m) are discouraged on some levels depending on the surface. Entry and circulation are practical.
