Saint-Tropez and its wild beaches: the perfect van road trip on the Saint-Tropez peninsula

The star of Saint-Tropez’s beaches, with its 5 km of fine sand and shallow waters, perfect for a swim or a picnic with your toes in the water. Parking areas P1 and P2 (paid in high season) provide easy access to the beach from your van.

The beating heart of the town, this picturesque port is packed with colourful fishing boats and lively terraces. Ideal for a coffee break while watching the comings and goings of sailors, before strolling through the cobbled streets.

One of the peninsula’s most beautiful natural sites, reachable after a 45-minute hike from the Tour de l’Escalet car park. The wild coves and pink rocks are well worth the effort.

Nicknamed the ‘Provençal Venice’, this fishing village with its pastel houses and canals is a feast for the eyes. Walk along the quays or rent a paddleboard to explore the calm waters of the port.

Perched on a hill, this 17th-century fortress offers stunning views over the bay and the town. The maritime history museum inside takes you back through the region’s seafaring past.

Less crowded than Pampelonne, this sandy beach is surrounded by pines and rocks for a wilder feel. The beach car park (free out of season) is handy for campervans.
