Description
Camping sympathique, sans emplacements précis, ombragé par de grands arbres. Une piste cyclable sépare le camping de la rivière. Possibilité d'aller en vélo jusqu'au château de Chenonceau ou plus original, en canoë !
The Camper’s take
Small rustic campground on the Cher River, 2 km from Château de Chenonceau, accessible by bike and canoe. Shaded field with free pitches, basic but clean facilities, shared covered kitchen. Warm welcome. Main drawback: nearby busy D81 road causing noise. Narrow entrance with height and weight restrictions. Ideal for a short stop or base for outdoor activities.
Highlights
- Prime location near Chenonceau and activities (cycling, canoeing)
- Shaded area, peaceful atmosphere, friendly welcome
- Toilets functional and clean despite their old appearance
- Great price for the area
Good to know
- Noisy road nearby (D81), traffic until 10-11 PM.
- Outdated facilities with few toilets and showers
- Difficult access: narrow entrance, 2.30m height limit, 3.5-tonne weight limit, few electric hookups.
Motorhome access : Very narrow entrance, difficult for large motorhomes. Low bridge (2.30 m) and weight limit (3.5 t). Tricky entry maneuvers. Small to medium vans preferable.
