The Camper’s take
Well-equipped 4-star campground beside the Thoet river, close to the castle and village of Montreuil-Bellay. Heated pool, brand-new sanitary facilities, spacious grassy pitches. Friendly welcome. Motorhome access tricky: narrow streets, single easy entrance (via Thouars), grey water dump awkwardly positioned. Rates €23–44/night. Noisy in peak season, peaceful off-season.

Motorhome access : Main entrance easily accessible via Thouars, but village streets are very narrow and tricky. Motorhome service area is cramped. Grey water dump station too small, problematic for RVs with rear-right valve. Alternative: free-access external area at the campsite.
