The Camper’s take
Municipal campsite on the Vienne riverbank, 2.5 km from Châtellerault town centre, accessible on foot or by bike via dedicated path. Spacious, shaded pitches with clean facilities and exceptionally friendly staff. Excellent value (€9–12). Main drawback: adjacent railway line with frequent train passages, especially at night, which may disturb light sleepers.
