The Camper’s take
Small forest campground in the heart of the Gâvre forest, bordering a lake. Large shaded pitches under hundred-year-old oak trees with warm management. Perfect for nature lovers, fishing, hiking and cycling (Nantes-Brest canal nearby). Basic but functional facilities. Accessible to motorhomes. Main drawback: aging sanitary facilities (poor lighting, some showers non-functional).
Highlights
- Exceptionally warm and caring welcome
- Spacious large pitches, very shaded in the forest
- Perfectly quiet, unspoiled nature, great for fishing and hiking
- Impeccable general maintenance, attractive rates
Good to know
- Outdated facilities, partially out of service (showers, toilets)
- Not enough lighting in the sanitary blocks
- No road signage (municipal ban mentioned)
- Pond overgrown with weeds (not related to the campsite)
Motorhome access : Easy access for campervans of various sizes, easy maneuvering, large spots.
