Unique municipal campground within UNESCO-listed Vauban citadel at Blaye. Spacious grass pitches with hedges, electricity and water point per site. Excellent value (€11.50–20). Vintage but clean facilities, hot water. Friendly reception. Royal Gate entrance is tight (3.0 m), tricky for large motorhomes. Limited hours (8:30–11am/3:30–7pm). Perfect for exploring the historic fortress, Saturday market nearby.

Good to know
- Very outdated facilities, promised renovation never carried out
- Royal Gate access is very narrow (3.0m), impossible for large motorhomes
- Very strict reception hours (8:30 AM–11:00 AM, 3:30 PM–7:00 PM), restrictive
- Recurring issues: low water pressure, sanitation badge problems, reported urine odors
Motorhome access : Very tricky access via Porte Royale (3.0 m wide, 3.20 m high). Possible but extremely tight for motorhomes and high vans. Difficult maneuvering. Avoid for large vehicles.
